03-Oct-2013

This activity sets the pace in the implementation of PNZH that the Government of Senegal has entrusted to Wetlands International Africa following a tender won by WIA. The government of Senegal has gone into implementing this policy as a mean to better take into account the very important role that wetlands play in ecosystems and the livelihoods of people.

Thus in this process, a five-year action plan will be adopted in each eco-geographical area of Senegal whose elements will be further characterized (types of wetland, their vocation and uses, constraints and solutions etc..). The first stage has already been wrapped with the validation of thematic studies.
