The publication is devoted to development of the Southern Bug meridional river corridor. It is a brief overview of biodiversity, distribution of rare plant and animal species and the most valuable nature areas.
This publication contains materials from the training course entitled "Public Participation in the Conservation of Small Rivers".
Information materials concerned with conceptualisation of the Dnipro ecological corridor, value of the corridor for bird migration, existing and planned nature protected areas in the corridor, flora and vegetation, plant and animal rare species, water reservoirs on the Dnipro river, social and economic description of the corridor, indicative map of the corridor and other have been gathered for the newsletter. The newsletter is a 28-pages edition in Ukrainian with short English summary.
This publication contains environment orientated games, which can be conducted indoors and out-doors (during lessons or in spare time). The school-book is destined for teachers, leaders of children organizations, educators in children's camps and NGO representatives.
The handbook contains 15 lessons on biodiversity conservation, econet development and integrated river basin management as well as a glossary. It is a part of educational toolkit that contains a CD with lessons and their Power Point presentations, scenarios of environmental out-of-class and out-of-school lessons, environmental games, contests, poems, stories and fairy tales. The handbook is destined for teachers, leaders of environmental and naturalistic centres and representatives of environmental NGOs.
This publication contains materials of the intersectoral seminar 'Dnipro Ecological Corridor: Modern State, Problems and Perspectives' held on 2–3 April 2007 in Kyiv. The proceedings is destined for specialists in biodiversity conservation and econet development, nature conservation authorities, administrations of protected areas, regional and local authorities, scientists, educators and representatives of environmental NGOs.
The publication contains description of 28 projects implemented by members of Ukrainian Rivers Network in the framework of the Small Grants Programme. Key elements, contributing to the success of the Programme were practical activities in river conversation, involving young people and children; increasing the awareness of the local population; publishing and disseminating informative materials, and co-operating with local authorities.
The Directory includes information on 33 wetlands of international importance with total area of 676,251 ha and 23 wetlands, totaling 211,399 ha, which have a great potential to be included in the List of Wetlands of International Importance (‘Ramsar List’). Annexes include Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and orders of the Ministry for environmental Protection of Ukraine as well as translation of official documents of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat (Ramsar Convention) that are connected with completion of the Information Sheet on Ramsar Wetlands (RIS) 2006 – 2008 version.
У цьому збірнику, виданому в рамках Чорноморської програми Wetlands International, представлені матеріали загальнонаціонального семінару "Участь громадськості у збереженні малих річок України", який відбувся 17-19 листопада 2000 р. у Києві, і Першої робочої зустрічі Української річкової мережі, яка проходила 27-30 червня 2001 р. на березі малої річки Бистриївка (притока третього порядку р. Дніпро) біля села Кам'яний Брід Коростишівського району Житомирської області.
